Getting to London
International delegates can arrive through Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton or London City Airport and continue into central London by rail or Underground. SOAS is within walking distance of Euston, King’s Cross St Pancras and St Pancras International. Once in central London, walking is recommended where possible, with the Underground, buses and taxis available for longer distances.

International attendees are advised to book accommodation before applying for a visa. Accommodation is not included in the conference registration fee.

What does registration cover?
The registration fee covers conference participation. Accommodation is booked separately.

GSS Member: £250.00 early bird until 31 March 2027, then £285.00. PhD/Masters: £200.00 early bird until 31 March 2027, then £250.00. Non-Member: £495.00.
When does paper submission open?
Academic submission opens on 1 October 2026.
What are the paper submission requirements?
Extended abstracts should be 2–4 pages and full papers should be no more than 12 pages. Submissions should be in Word or PDF, using 12-point Times New Roman and double spacing. The review process is double-blind, so author information should be omitted from the submission.
How many submissions can one author make?
Authors may make up to four submissions.
What is the Emerging Scholars Colloquium?
The Emerging Scholars Colloquium is scheduled for 16 June 2027. It is designed around presentations, feedback, mentorship and networking, with policy-brief development also forming part of the experience. Emerging scholars submit a 2–4 page abstract.
What is the Industry, Policy & Practitioners Workshop?
The workshop is scheduled for 17 June 2027 and focuses on practical solutions around skills, productivity, efficiency and accountability. A 500-word practice or policy brief is required for workshop participation.
What social events are planned?
An informal networking/reception is planned for 16 June 2027, followed by the conference dinner on 17 June 2027.
Will conference proceedings be published?
The conference materials state that iCAD 2027 proceedings will be published through the British Library.
